I just got a Elecraft KPA-500 and KAT-500 combo. Everything seems to work fine. What I noticed in the F5K operation is if I enable the ATU in AUTO it immediately reverts to Bypass. I have not seen this before.
Common sense tells me to run the F5K in Bypass mode because the KAT-500 will take care of tuning. What I do not understand is how the F5K immediately switches from AUTO to Bypass. Has anyone seen this before?
