Bill, I have had great success with the COMspkr speaker from West Mountain Radio. I started out with on pair and no RF issues at all, the "computer speakers" I had on the 3 other computers in the shack had to be treated to a dose of ferrite beads to stop the RF so those got replaced as well. I am sure there are others that work well in an RF environment but these worked really well for me and sound pretty
good as well.

Good afternoon.
A couple of questions. One, do you have to use powered speakers With the Flex 6300? I ask this because when I used the Flex 3000 I did not have any feedback or interference. Now I do. I can add all the chokes and such but I wanted to know if I need Power speakers??? The second question is, I found I can not use the Hercules controller with the Flex 6300 as I did with the flex 3000. I could not find any way to add it. What are you guys using beside the Flex Controller??
Thanks folks.
Bill

Bill,

You might get more response on the Flex Community site in these issues,
although I am not aware of the population of this list versus the Community!

Guys and Girls ... I use powered speakers from the rear feed of the 6300 and
headphones from the front ... They work very well together. The powered
speakers are Logitech and any headphone works on the front panel. It is
always a good idea if you can use ferrite beads (chokes) but depending on
the conditions in your "shack" you may not need them. (I used a 3000 for
years and have now transitioned (what a stupid word) to a 6300).

Bill,

You will still need powered speakers on the 6300, just like the 3000. Use good quality speakers, like the Bose, some powered speakers just do like to get close to RF. Check your headphone, if you have RFI there , then start looking at you grounding and antenna system. Things like common mode RF backing down the feed line, you might need a common mode choke, or could have a bad interconnect cable or loose connection. You should not be getting RFI in the speakers..
