All OK now. This is the first time I have had to do a factory reset
since I purchased the 5000A. Now back to read the manual to set up the
display the bI was using anmd write up the steps in my shack jouyrnal,

This sounds like a corrupted database file.
The first step in troubleshooting this type of problem is to do a
reset to factory defaults, if possible. If not, then you can
accomplish the same thing by deleting your database file. When you
re-start PowerSDR, it will create a new, clean database, & everything
should be back to normal.
Your database file can be found in the %APPDATA%FlexRadio
SystemsPowerSDR v2.7.2 directory. If you are running Windows Vista or
later, the %APPDATA% directory is:
C:Users<your user name>AppDataRoaming
The database file is an XML file and will contain your radio model &
serial number in thename.
NOTE: Simply uninstalling & re-installing PowerSDR will not work,
since your old database file is left in place after the uninstall.
