Hrrrm! ;) (You just don't fly near an airport you don't know.) IRL, you are obliged to at all times know where you are and where you are going: pre-flight planning, navigation... Which incidently is one of the things for which a flight simulator can be used as a training tool. Highly recommended web site: http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/index.htm Note that there are differences in some details. That site is oriented around MSFS, wich has some flaws FGFS doesn't have, and perhaps vice-versa. Some things I've noticed that the author warns for which doesn't apply to FG: * FGFS directional gyros *are* drifting as real (affordable) gyros do. (model-dependant) * FGFS metar weather is correct regarding wind directions. (Cheat tip: use the MP server map.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
