Using the latest CVS, when I start fgfs with:

  $ fgfs --lat=35 --lon=75

I get an initial elevation of -9999 ft (as viewed by the property
browser -- that thing is great for debugging ;-).  Note that this is
*without* having the scenery tiles -- I haven't tried it with yet.

Anyway, I start out "floating" with no scenery in sight, only sky above
and below.  I hit ^U several times until my altitude approaches zero,
and then everything fixes itself.  I'm then sitting in the middle of the
ocean at about 4 ft of altitude.

My guess is that Curt's recent initialization changes are the culprit,
but I'm too tired to debug this tonight.  Can anyone else at least
confirm this behavior?
