!! Warning what seems to be my 'obligatory' follows !! So now any program wanting to parse the FGFS materials file, PPE for instance, will need to include a XML parser from a file that is twice as large, 18k vs 34k, and harder to read, for this human at least. > This will eventually allow us to >add in new kinds of information and enable crashes rather than smooth >taxiing on surfaces like forest or water. FYI, The old format allowed for this just as easily. It is basically a wavefront materials file that is very successful in several of the 'best' modeling packages available. I know I sound like a broken record but "PLEASE before making incompatible changes to FlightGear at least bring it up on the list for discussion" anticapating_a_scenery_dtd_NOT'ly yours Norman _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
