The following examples are WRT the MSVC version, but I think they apply to
the linux version as well.
This probably won't get rolled into 0.7.9, but there are quite a few
instances of the software version sprinkled throughout the system. Probably
the biggest example of this is the definition of FLIGHTGEAR_VERSION. MSVC's
config.h defines it as "MSVC6-FGFS32-0.7.8" while version.h defines it as
"0.7.9". Both FlightGear's config.h and SimGear's simgear_config.h define
VERSION. While SimGear's instance matches the actual SimGear version
(0.0.8), FlightGear's definition is "0.57" (and defines FG_VERSION as 7).
I'm not sure what impact this will have (probably none), but it is
something to look at.
