David shamed me into actually doing some work on YASim tonight by committing some changes of his own (and by pointing out that I'd rather stupidly forgotten that pserver access can commit just fine).
New stuff to play with: Gear objects can now be non-rolling by specifying a skid="1" argument, to support tail skids. Contact points for the airframe are now computed from the geometry automatically. You can pull the nose up and scrape the tail on the ground, and you can't roll the wing under the ground plane anymore (you used to have to press the whole gear assembly underground to crash). Piston engines develop more reasonable power at idle now. The "cessna tears off down the runway at startup" problem is less of an issue. The bug with mis-reporting airspeed as groundspeed has been fixed. Problem is, the --wind argument doesn't seem to work anymore. :) Specifying something like --wind=270@20 definitely used to work, I remember testing against it. But now, the FDM gets zeros. I didn't investigate further. Andy -- Andrew J. Ross NextBus Information Systems Senior Software Engineer Emeryville, CA [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.nextbus.com "Men go crazy in conflagrations.
