I have completed my instrumentation of preferences.xml and I need someone
who knows that file to give it a sanity check. I do have some of
questions:
What description should I have for:
<units>feet</units>
<trim>true</trim>
For entries such as:
<has-gs-needle>1</has-gs-needle>
is a value of 'true' or 'false' better than 0 or 1?
What is a DG? To me it is a Directional Gyro, but I don't think this is
the case here. Can I have more than four engines (i.e., B-52)? If not,
will some of the engines need to be 'merged' to fit the four locations?
How is the 'clue meter' reading on the descriptions for the pilot and
chase views? Is the aircraft orientation overridden by the runway
geometry at an airport? I assume that the <controls> section is FDM
specific?
Finally, PLEASE pick nits with this document. I want it to be as accurate
(and useful) as possible.
