I see this behavior with my Saitek X45. The USB HID negotiation works fine, but the events themselves never arrive and the device times out. The problem was fixed by enabling the "long USB timeout" (I forget the proper name) kernel option. Oh, and for anyone still interested in this controller, I finally solved the one big problem with it. The throttle detents turn out to be easily removable -- just open the thing up and remove a single plastic part. Much better. Andy -- Andrew J.
