Yes, I did (I don't have a yoke yet, but the pedals are working fine).
I sent you (Tony) a message at your seneca.me.umn.edu address, but for
the benefit of anyone else with the same problem, here's an excerpt:

Thank you, all three, for your help. Dave was right about the problem
being in the HID (or at least, that the solution was there), and both
Alex's and Tony's patches were required to make things work. I'm
attaching the very short patches to drivers/input/joydev.c and
drivers/usb/hid-core.c to make the CH Pro Rudder Pedals work with
  Linux 2.4.17.

I won't attach the patches here, but they appear in a posting to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] on 2 April 2002 with the subject
heading "2.4.17 Patches for CH Pro Pedals USB". Basically, I needed
to use your patch to get joydev.c to recognize the pedals as a
joystick with no buttons and Alex's patch to fix idle problems in
hid-core.c.

It is *much* easier to fly with the pedals, and the toe brakes are
great. I strongly recommend pedals to anyone working with any PC
flight simulator.

Thanks,

David
