In YASim, this is done by configuration convention. The order of the gear indices is the order in which they are presented in the file. The problem with standard conventions, though, is that they only work for standard aircraft. The 747, for example, has five gear (nose, left outboard, left inboard, right inboard, right outboard, I think). The Harrier is even weirder, it has a steerable nose wheel, a "main" wheel under the c.g., and two outriggers on the wingtips. Andy -- Andrew J.
