Where is the initial <starter>true</starter> coming from? It's set to off in preferences.xml and generally not defined in the set files. As it stands, switching off the magnetos leaves the engine cranking. Also, the switch is drawn in the start position. It should suffice to set engine/running=true correct?
I have to say, preferences.xml is looking right nasty about now. There is a lot of stuff that shouldn't be in there IMO. I'm out of touch with whats going on at the moment so no flames please. I expect to be doing some clean up and maybe wiring up some switches at the weekend.
