Jer�me, did you read the FAQ ? or search the archive of this mailing list ?

Anyway, the problem with Metakit is that it is a shared library and you can
be in one of two cases :
1. There was already a version of Metakit in /usr/lib and you installed the
new one in /usr/local/lib
2. the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not set to /usr/local/lib or /etc/ld.so.conf don't
contains /usr/local/lib. You can check by running ldconfig -v (or is it -d, don't
remember) as root.

You can see what is going wrong by inspecting the end of the config.log file.
