Thanks, I just got a chance to test this out.  It demonstrates the
technique well enough to do fancier things.  FWIW, I'm using perl-tk
to develop a remote instructor station for FlightGear for a side
project I'm involved with.  I'm going to lobby to have this released
to the project if at all possible since it is pretty useful.  The goal
with this is to be able to do all the position presets (airport,
runway, in air, offset from vor, etc.), set all the different faults,
configure the weather, and configure other systems and the engine.  So
far I'm pretty happy with how it's shaping up, but there is a *ton* of
tweaking left to do before it will be generally useful.  I'm going out
of town for the hollidays, but plan to take my ancient lap top which
isn't really sufficient for doing flightgear work, but probably will
be fine to do perl-tk work.
