This is from an old message in my patch queue, and Andy made changes
to YASim after posting this. Just for the record, I tried changing
the lift parameter to 1.3 with the current code and got this:
YASim solution results:
Iterations: 513
Drag Coefficient: 71.6363
Lift Ratio: 16.1018
Cruise AoA: 1.75068
Tail Incidence: 0.708758
Approach Elevator: -1.07615
CG: -0.876, -0.000, -0.114
YASim SOLUTION FAILURE:
Insufficient elevator to trim for approach
I guess that the J3 Cub really does need the monster elevator.
All the best,
David
