I noticed this last night while trying to update SimGear:
% cvs update -dP
cvs server: Updating .
P configure.ac
cvs server: Updating simgear
P simgear/Makefile.am
P simgear/compiler.h
cvs server: Updating simgear/bucket
cvs server: Updating simgear/compatibility
cvs server: failed to create lock directory for
`/var/cvs/SimGear-0.3/SimGear/simgear/compatibility'
(/var/cvs/SimGear-0.3/SimGear/simgear/compatibility/#cvs.lock):
Permission denied
cvs server: failed to obtain dir lock in repository
`/var/cvs/SimGear-0.3/SimGear/simgear/compatibility'
cvs [server aborted]: read lock failed - giving up
Any thoughts? I assume that this is a CVS server issue since I have
the problem under both MacOS and Windows.
Thanks,
Jonathan Polley
