I've been looking at laptops a bit. The high end Dells with nice
GeForce chips are way out of my price range. Sony makes a few Viao's,
but I don't really like their feel very much. Toshiba makes several
models with GeForce graphics, but they are *big* and bulky and
probably out of my price range too. Compaq makes several models that
look very nice and are more in the ball park for what I could afford.
However, they have ATI graphics. Under windows, these have opengl
graphics and I know there has been recent headway with ATI opengl
drivers under linux.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get these laptop ATI video
thingies running accelerated under Linux?

Thanks,

Curt.
