The image is actually centred on the airport reference point, which seems
fine for *most*, but occasionally does odd things.

I've also noticed that my local airport has a few taxiway/runway alignment
problems:

I spent a boring afternoon at work hacking the code to draw them - it
simply proved to me that it's far too long since I've done any trig. After
sitting there doodling a few diagrams and working out some formulas though
I managed it eventually.

The other problem is that it's actually drawn on a square grid, so there's
gonna be increasing distortion the firther you get from the equator.
