Hi,

I've used 3ds files for FlightGear models in both
Linux and M$ 2K (A CH53D model).

Under Linux the support of PLib seams better then
under M$ 2K, but even under Linux I have encountered
several PLib issues:
* Objects Names are not always recognized.
* Some textures are not loaded.

Other then the above Linux supporter 3ds gritty well.

Under M$ 2K:
* All of the above
* Objects loaded with <STATIC OBJECT> do not recognize
the altitude parameters if they are in 3ds format.

I haven't been able to find documentation on what is
or is not supported in PLib I just tried several
models and found out.

Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi all,

The documentation on creating models for Flightgear
doesn't say
anything
about .3DS files. Is it possible to load .3DS files
for Flightgear ?
If
yes, where can I find information on the format of the
files, if I may
use
materials etc ...

Kind Regards
