Is there a reason this can't be moved out of the main loop yet? It's been a while since it was last discussed, but I thought something was going to be done with it.
The patch was one I submitted to Erik.
How about this solution for now: Simply delete or comment out the entire blurb. The UIUC models fly quite alright w/o this bit of code! I checked and the LaRCsim C172 is also OK w/o it.
