I'm not using T38 panel at all. It's just a model for me to look at andIn that case there are a couple of programs you could look at getting.
sometiems plug in some files to see if the file works. I am creating the ASW20
panel with my own drawing and stuff. I'm using openGL to draw some of the
instruments. Sadly, I'm having a little bit of trouble writing the fonts in
the gauge. I'm pretty much familiar with how xml files work, but they don't
seem to work for now.
I'm using my own computer which is windows based, but I'll have linux machine
next week.

Xnview.This program will change files from RGB(flightgear)format to BMP and back again.
Martin Wright's DXT BMP.This program will allow you to add the Mask(Alpha channel)to your BMP files.The mask is what determines what shows and what is transparent.Black areas are transparent white areas are showen.
If you know this aready then please disregard what I have written.
