I can confirm that on previous offical drivers (40.96 or something like that) and a 14 days old CVS build these fog problems weren't present.Matevz Jekovec wrote:Matevz, what is your setup ?-FredI have Hercules Gf2mx on PCI with 32MB. Processor is PII 333 MHz with 256 MB of SDRAM on A-Bit LX6. I have primarily SBLive! on PCI and SBAwe64 Value on ISA running Alsa. I'm using latest official nVidia Detonators, 44.96. I'm using latest Debian unstable, kernel 2.4.21, glibc v3.3.1, XFree 4.3.0, Alsa 0.9.6. I think FlightGear and SimGear were downloaded on Aug 12, from CVS. pLib is 14 days old or so, downloaded from cvs as well. Can somebody enlighten me about the current findings, because I think I'm a bit lost. Is the fault on only nVidia, Linux, latest CVS or where? AFAIK, these fog problems started when we enabled 3d clouds support, so shouldn't we search here somewhere the main problem, or am I just not enlightened much:)?The problem seems to affect NVidia users ( Erik, You, me ) on both Linux and Windows. Curt is not convinced that it can be a Driver bug but there is a workaround in CVS. It has nothing to do with 3D clouds. -Fred - Matevz |
