For the starter you could use the default keys, but slightly modified in the -set.xml file for JSBSim turbine driven aircraft.
I tried that once, but ran into a catch. I can override values that are already defined, and I can define new values, but I couldn't figure out how to erase previously-defined properties. For instance, how to get rid of the mod-up for key 32 when I override the key binding in the *-set.xml file?
I cant' get rid of the mod-up for the starter by defining an empty mod-up like this:
<mod-up> </mod-up>
This requires a modification of the code. But it's a difficult problem because we would be overriding a previous behavior.
