I have a need to develop a simulation of a terrain following system. The system is presented a flight corridor (start point, end point, and corridor width) and need to return the location, and elivation, of the highest point in that corridor. I remember seeing some discussion a while back concerning how to get the terrain elevation for random points, but didn't follow it too closely. Can anyone give me some information as to where I can start looking?
On a related point (really, it is), if a company wanted to pay to have modifications made to FlightGear, is there anyone in the community that does this? The primary interest is for the terrain following system, but I would love to eventually have JSBSim modified so I could use it to drive some GPS and inertial simulations. First, I will need to test the water with the terrain system. Thanks, Jonathan Polley Of COURSE they can do that. They're engineers! _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
