The joystick (a.k.a coolie) hat isn't/wasn't recognized in this and earlier versions. Probably some timing problem. The joystick maintainer and the js mailing list was less than helpful. I used the opportunity to replace my analog Saitek X8-30 by a Saitek Cyborg Gold/USB.
