I've just checked in some changes to DC-3 gear configuration, and ground handling should be a bit more reasonable: the plane isn't quite as bouncy, and the main gear no longer compresses up to 1 m (!!!). I can now manage wheel landings, which the old gear configuration wouldn't allow, though I suspect that the gear is still a bit over-sensitive.

I've also changed the default viewpoint to something more reasonable: you can now see more of the panel by default, and you cannot see the runway over the nose when the tailwheel is on the ground.

I'd be grateful if the tailwheel fans on the list could try it out.

To try a takeoff at KSFO:

fgfs --aircraft=dc3

To try a landing at KSFO:

fgfs --aircraft=dc3 --altitude=1000 --offset-distance=2 --vc=90

All the best,

David
