Would it be possible to create a web based repository of data that we find on the Net or elsewhere? Sort of a central repository where everyone can go and look for info first before they start crawling the Net for hours.
A lot of the FlightGear/JSBSim developers find useful sites with info on all sorts of flight related topics but posting them to the mailing list is not a nice way of "archiving" them in my opinion. Retrieving info from the mailing lists a few years down the road is pain unless one downloads the entire raw archive and does a search on it. I am thinking along the lines of a database driven web interface where we can all submit useful links (URLs, books, etc) with descriptions and categories. Then people can search for stuff using keywords. Just an idea - maybe it's not a very good one. Is there a need for something like this or am I just dreaming again?
