I attempted this mailing earlier, but it was refused. I think the setup is now fixed, so here it is again.

Next to it is a detent (with a "gate" for "flaps 1" (this position extends the leading edge inboard and midspan flaps, while leaving the trailing edge flaps retracted.) Next to that is a detent for "flaps 5" (This extends all the leading edge flap groups and extends 5 degrees of trailing edge flaps)) Next is a detent for 10 degrees trailing edge flaps. This is thr first "takeoff range" setting. Next is a detent (with another "gate") for 20 degrees trailing edge flap. This is the second "takeoff range" setting, and the position used in a "go around". Next is a detent for 25 degrees trailing edge flaps. This is the first "landing range" position. Next is the detent for 30 degrees trailing edge flaps. This is the second "landing range" (and final) detent. The gates at positions 1 and 20 prevent inadvertent flap handle movement past those gatee positions. Position 1 prevents inadvertent retraction of the leading edge flaps, and position 20 prevents inadvertent retraction of the trailing edge flaps during a go around. These were the selection in our (U.A.L.) 747-400 airplanes. jj _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
