Okay, after some more tweaks, I got FlightGear (last wednessday's Cvs version)
to work on Cygwin.

Here's a few observatons:
- Simply uninstalling cygwin X11 does not seem to be sufficient, as the
compiler finds the OpenGL headers in /usr/X11R6/include before the non-X11
headers Somehow the X11 headers still get installed. I managed to build
FlightGear by actually temporarily renaming the X11R6 directory.

- The /usr/local/ directory appears to be missing from the standard
directories in the FlightGear configure script. My FlightGear compile
initially crashed in the tests/ directory, trying to build "test-up",
complaining that it couldn't find libsgmath.a. I hacked the /usr/local
directory into the configure.ac file, but I don't think I did this very
appropriately, so I'm reluctant to sent my hack as a patch to the list.

- FlightGear runs fine now, but I seem to have some problems with my joystick
configuration (CH yoke and pedals, both USB), specifically the POV-HAT, keeps
spinning in circles. All the other buttons and axes seem to be working fine
on both the yoke and pedals. Has anybody else had any problems with the POV
axes???

- Finally: Last but not least: FlightGear Rocks! Today was the first time in
more than two years that I had a chance to use the program "full blast" on a
powerful enough machine, using all the bells and whistles. Great Job guys!

Cheers,
Durk
