Since Oct 2003 there is a 3 arcsec SRTM Terrain data for Europe and Asia on the usgs.gov ftp server available.
ftp://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/srtm/Eurasia/ I think we should create new scenery files for the Europe and Asia area based on this better 3 arcsec SRTM Terrain data before we release FGFS version 0.9.4. The current available scenery for Flightgear for Europe and Asia is still based on the low detail 30 arcsec SRTM Terrain data.
