I had the same problem with MS VC6.
Frederic B. told me that FG does not compile "as is" under MS VC6. (a lot of
horrible patch are necessary)
He suggested me to use MS VC7.0 or above, and gave me his project files.
With his help, it worked fine for me with MS Visual Studio .Net 2003.
