I don't know if you've had a chance to read the whole 5 part series but
there is a lot of great information on how the longitudinal and lateral
control systems work.  The trick will be to make it work correctly when
the CAS is off or failed.  The F-15 flies like "a Lincoln-Contiental with
four flat tires" when the CAS is off.
