It's actually a slightly improved version of the SGI image import/export
filter that I wrote for KDE. Hence the Qt dependency.[1]

[1] hey, Qt4 has been released a few days ago. It's now GPL for Windows, too.
    It was already for Linux/Unix/OSX.  :-)
