And instead of simply substituting the glider for unknown aircraft, perhaps a slow gentle bittorrent like system could be implemented to share new models. I realize that this presents both bandwidth and trust problems of course. Another option would be for aircraft -set.xml files to include a url where they can be found, though these would be prone to becoming out of date.
