Fred, I don't understand what you're suggesting.
I think you are suggesting I post a file somewhere or possibly download a file from the 'net and use that instead of what ever might be used currently on this machine?

I opened a MS DOS Windows and entered set APPDATA at the c:\windows> prompt.

I am asking you to copy/paste the content of a text file named fgrun.prefs as a reply of a message of this thread. Perhaps you will have better luck if you search it with the explorer, but often, the directory is hidden, and the file is skipped by the search.

the references to FGv098a could be because I run both on the same PC (or attempt to run fgv099 <g>) and FGv098a was the last one I ran.

Will having this data present stop FGv099 from starting?


What are you getting if you only enter "set" ( without the quotes ) at the prompt ?

Can't get access to the MS DOS prompt the FG PC at the moment (my wife is on the PC).
