I'll leave the developers to answer the rest, but we actually already make use 
of shaders for one or two animations.

Which reminds me of something I wanted to ask before - the "heat haze" shader 
animation is fantastic - but is it the case that it removes (or at least 
hides) any emissive properties from an object being animated?

Apologies if that question simply highlights my complete lack of knowledge of 
3d graphics techniques, but it would be nice to know I'm not just doing 
something stupid again :-)
