Yeah, that's what I just did. Point is though, I shouldn't have to.
Retrieving a file from a backup is a pain in the ass and potentially
dangerous.

Deleting user created data without prompting the user is just a plain
old UI sin. Period, no ifs ands or buts. It should not be done under any
circumstance, and I am baffled as to how such a stupid idea got into
flightgear.

Besides, it would be so trivially easy to make the default be to keep
the user's data, and only delete it if the user actively tells the
program to do so.

And in case anyone missed it when I said it before, programs should
never never never ever delete user created data without asking the user.
Ever. Come on guys.
