I had my joystick working in 0.9.8 and upgraded to 0.9.9, and am having a
bit of trouble figuring out how things work.
I can make a joystick configuration file for my joystick, no problem. How
do I get Flightgear to reference it?
I thought, in 0.9.8, that there was a joysticks.xml file somewhere. This
file does not seem to exist in 0.9.9. If I try using fgjs (which doesn't
meet my needs so it isn't the ultimate solution) it makes a js0.xml and
js1.xml file (for joystick and rudder pedals) in my /bin directory. Is this
where the joystick config files should reside?
The Joystick directory is now scanned for available configuration files
and the one with a matching <name></name> tag gets selected.
In order to get your configuration file working you should only need to
specify the name that was previously defined in the joysticks.xml file
in the configuration file itself.
