Is the default none or something else? ATM there is nothing in the startup script to set the weather properties to any value.

Not a gotta-have, but thinking it would be nice to vary the values via a remote station while the attendees play with FG and the sim at scale. Could also use the metar option, but the weather is just a little to fair this time of year in southern California. :-) and no rain in the forecast.

There will be an internet (cable and wifi) drop at the booth. Looks like MP is a good possibility, need to add a second card to the FG machine and setup a dhcp client for MP and Curtis will have his laptop with a wifi card which we could use for IRC, MP as well, or whatever.

Setup time is next Friday (10 Feb) from noon to 7PM PST. (8PM to 3AM GMT) If all goes well we should be online sometime after 3PM and then over the weekend from 9AM to 6PM (5PM to 2AM GMT) each day.

John W.

I tried the following in my startup script

--prop:/environment/pressure-sea-level-inhg=30.24 \

and it failed to change the value from the the defalt of 29.92, yet

--prop:/sim/menubar/visibility=false \

or setting it true works just fine.

Syntax problem? wrong/mis-spelled property name?

Are you sure you don't have the weather scenario set to something else besides "none"? I don't even think that "fair weather" allows one to adjust the properties without the possibility that they get overwritten by the code.
