Hi Jeff,
Yes, the OpenGC is just about comatose. And the interface between FG and
OpenGC is not supported. There were some legal and liability issues
related to use of the software by members of EAA and it was pulled. And
yes, in can be integrated across a network, quite nicely.
There is a commercial option at www.lfstech.com were you can download a
demo program that will work with FG-0.9.9. The FG tar file has several
high fidelity models for the fan engines, fuel systems, etc.

Good afternoon everyone, my name is Jeff and I'm new to the list, but
not new to flying or simulation. I am the flight simulator engineer
for the 757/767 fleet at a major airline. I'm looking into
incorporating FlightGear/OpenGC into some of our low level testing
and, hopefully, giving back to the open source community with whatever
I might be able to contribute.
My first question goes like this: I have read that OpenGC and
FlightGear can be integrated across a network, is there documentation
on this? Specifically, is there documentation on the protocol used
between them? Also, does anyone know if the OpenGC project is still
active? I noticed that the last update was over a year ago, and I've
tried to grab the source but it seems that the CVS access is not
liking the information listed on the website.
Thanks for any info, looking forward to talking with you guys.
Jeff
