I tried the new multiplayer support, and it connected to the
pigeond.net server fine (I got the welcome message, and my id showed

Is the missing lat/lon because of my firewall? I do not want to open
any incoming ports, and my guess is that the server needs to open a
connection my my computer somehow.

Thanks, and all the best,

Aha, no you are probably running the CVS version of flightgear and connecting to the v0.9.9 version of the map. Hmm, I was gone for a long weekend and now I've forgotten the url to the development server and the port that you need to communicate with it. Hopefully someone else can pitch in with that.

I like using the MP google map just to track my own flight ... it's fun to compare the satellite imagery with the FG imagery ... and makes me wish we could figure out some deal with google to somehow incorporate their imagery into FG in a way that protects their interests, but lets us do what we need.
