Games-Knoppix' ATI support is _uselessly_ buggy for at least the 128bit 9250, ATI proprietary driver cannot use it and vice versa, and the GPL DRI etc "radeon" (and "ati") driver is thrown away by the Games-Knoppix X setup, which sees the hardware and fucks up by loading ATI's "fireglx". Kanotix is sort of ok last year and is on my todo-list. ;o) > But anyway, I'm willing to help and spend sometime looking into this. .."damn, _everything_ happens _right_ now!" ;o) KOSH? ;o) ..for parametric 3d modelling, have any of you guys played with BRL-CAD? http://brlcad.org/ , is GPL, I use it for my gas power plants (thermochemical gasification). Decided to try it as I found no easy way to do parametric modelling in Blender, BRL-CAD is _neat_, and David M should enjoy the Emacs-like Jove cli. ;o) -- ..med vennlig hilsen = with Kind Regards from Arnt... ;o) ...with a number of polar bear hunters in his ancestry...
