I think it would be a good thing if aircraft designers started including
select animations tied to /sim/model/pilot-visible-internal and
/sim/model/pilot-visible-external with the appropriate conditions so
that they each work in the appropriate views
(/sim/current-view/config/from-model).

That way a user could set the two properties in their preferences.xml to
suit their own desires. This is an easy convention to follow, a lot of
people seem to care about this, and it is also easy to retrofit existing
models to follow it. In fact, I will volunteer to retrofit any existing
models that the maintainers don't want to if people seem to like this idea.

Of course we can't force model builders to follow a convention like
this, but this is open source, and once most people start to follow it,
I don't think there will be any objections to it becoming de riguer.
