This is not from anything in the pa24 xml files. If you look in the FGShortRef in the Doc folder tab 3, you will find "P" Toggle instrument panel on/off. The same happens in all the other AC I tried (c172p, pa28-161, and others) with the exception that in some cases the set.xml files assign their own 2D pannel (e.g. f16-3d).
