It's far from perfect, but I noticed that it was a lot better when I came back to FlightGear. I cannot remember which model I was using, but I was pleasantly surprised in a practice forced-landing on sloping ground when the plane tilted with the ground, and actually rolled backwards back downhill after I shut down the engine.
