Hi

I posted earlier today a msg on the user list about issues with running
fgfs on FC5 (c enclosed copy) . After a little more research I found the
development list thread about FC5 and the freeglut 2.4.

So I tried the following rpm

flightgear/FlightGearSDL-0.9.10-0.FC.i386.rpm

<ftp://tallyho.bc.nu/pub/steve/flightgear/FlightGearSDL-0.9.10-0.FC.i386.rpm>

and I am getting the following error :

X Error of failed request: BadLength (poly request too large or
internal Xlib length error)
Major opcode of failed request: 145 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 29 ()
Serial number of failed request: 826
Current serial number in output stream: 826

Any ideas on how I can get fgfs running on FC5 ?

Personally, if I had an nvidia card and saw this error message I would run out and [re]install the nvidia drivers from nvidia.com

Not sure that he (Andy) has an Nvidia card. *I* have an antique Nvidia card and it's working fine with that.

As you say though, it might well be worth Andy checking his 3D video setup. Failing that, at least post a complete description of his card, version of drivers etc so that maybe someone in the know can spot what's wrong.

For reference, I have it working fine with nVidia Corporation NV15GL [Quadro2 Pro] (rev a4), with the nvidia binary Xorg driver version 7174 and the GLX driver with the same number (both from RPMs courtesy of 'livna').

I also have SDL version 1.2.8-4 (standard FC4 RPM from the Fedora project). I am running kernel-2.6.15 (the "1833 build" from the Fedora project).

Steve.
