The HUD is ugly because of bad ogl instructions. I'll fix this later today. The frame rate display is a different matter. That's a completely un-blurry pixmap font already. If you don't like the font or color, then open $FG_ROOT/gui/dialogs/fps.xml and change it. It was merely for hysterical raisins that I chose the "dull orange".
