Looking at various photos on the web, the facilities in Europe appear to
favor large open steel frameworks, possibly with a small building
underneath with a slanted roof...very different from the ones I've seen
photographs of in the US. It is a tiny sample from which to draw
conclusions.

It would be an improvement if the generic facility was more attractive,
but I can see your point. Being nondescript is an advantage, since it
offends and pleases everyone equally. If the generic facility was too
specific, it would look wrong in the areas where it did not apply.

I would be glad to contribute the model and the location for a specific
VOR facility or at least for a particular state or region of the US
substitute a model close to those used in that area.
