You should have in mind that there are users who do not have high-speed
internet connections. For VoIP you need more than 64 kBit/s. Also
special codecs need less than this tyou get problems with other
applications on the nedd and there are jitters and so on. That really
not nice for all on the used "radio cahnnel" ( = conference room).
So text messages are a good fallback.

My currently researches result in an apllication like squawkbox for
FSxxxx. In this application should be integrated a VoIP-Client and some
code for sending all necessary information for a compatible ATC client.

Asterisk canwork with conferences >30 users. But you need a powerful
machine and also a powerful internet connection. With the actuel test
server this is no problem.

The distance calculation should be also in the seperate program. This
is more clear for the whole code.
